Liner Repair (per casing half) + VAT

Both the 996 and 997 engines suffer from bore damage, this is most commonly found in bores 4,5,6, although 1,2,3 do suffer in many cases. The most common indicator of this bore problem is vastly increased oil consumption, if the bore problem is suspected then it is recommended the spark plugs are removed and an inspection camera used to visually inspect the bore surfaces.


The repair options listed below negate the need to replace the crank casings complete;

  • 1 STD liner replacement, bored to size, block faced, liner base machined to block

  • 3 STD liner replacements, bored to size, block faced, liner bases machined to block £645.00
  • 1 liner repair for cracked bore, bored to size, block faced, liner base machined to block

  • 1 liner repair for cracked bore, plus 1 additional STD liner repair, block faced, liner bases machined to block
